Love Happy Hour - Taco Fan? Tacolandia! Hollywood Palladium

Los Angelinos, do you have a favorite taco stand, truck, or restaurant? There are so many terrific taco options in LA – we know! Well if you love tacos, then you are gonna love the newest annual event hitting Los Angeles this SundayTacolandia. LA Weekly’s Tacolandia pays homage to Los Angelinos favorite food, the Taco with over 30 taco “artists” from LA to the OC (Baja, too) coming together to provide Tex-Mex tonguegasms to our eager, anticipating mouths.

The June 23rd celebration includes music, food, a tequila garden and tons of tacos - duh! Festivities begin at noon at the Hollywood Paladium and run until 5pm with ticket prices starting at $20. If you haven’t bought your tickets yet, beware – word’s out that Tacolandia is sold out, so mark your calendars for next year. But don’t despair, LoveHappyHour.com has your favorite Mexican cuisine spots covered with incredible taco happy hours to please your palate.

Marix has been a staple for an amazing happy hour in West Hollywood with their remarkable “Street Tacos.” On Taco Tuesday, Marix features all-you-can-eat tacos for $8.95. I don’t know about you, but I can eat A LOT of tacos. Marix also offers happy hour Monday through Friday from 4pm-7pm with new skinny margarita options, too.

Another taco bar worth checking out is Candela Taco Bar located just south of Wilshire on La Brea. Candela’s taco bar prices start at just $2 and on Wednesdays they offer $1 tacos all night long. $3 Margarita Mondays, daily happy hour and 2 for 1 entrees on Tuesdays just sweeten the deal.

El Carmen on 3rd Street features combination taco plates during happy hour for only $6; choose from tacos de papas (potatoes), carnitas or chicken. El Carmen’s “hora de fiesta” runs Monday through Friday from 5pm- 7pm, featuring $2 guacamole and my personal favorite, $4 ceviche.

The taco fest, Tacolandia may be sold out, but in Los Angeles you never have to be without your favorite Mexican dish. Oh, and remember to eat your tacos responsibly. Overconsumption of delicious meat, toppings and hot sauce can lead to a “carne coma.”
