I've learned to love eating sushi during lunch or early afternoon. The midday combination of fresh fish and rice satisfies my hunger, but it doesn't leave me craving a crash nap. Echi Sushi in West Hollywood is a tucked away restaurant hidden off Santa Monica Blvd that offers an open patio, good sushi and everyday, all day, all night happy hour.

That's right, from 12pm to 10pm everyday, Echi Sushi has happy hour with discounts including $1.99 Bud Light, Kirin and Sapporo drafts. They also drop off free edamame at your table. Large hot sake will run you $4 and you can also score discounts on higher end bottles of cold sake, wine by the glass and bottled beers.

While these drink prices are great, you must make a food purchase in order to obtain them.

If you are loking to class it up when it comes to your usual happy hour routine, look no further than Side Bar at Beverly Wilshire hotel. Nestled next to Wolfgang Puck's Cut and The Blvd Lounge, Side Bar is a swanky hotel bar where you can enjoy a perfect Manhattan and some happy hour, too.

Monday through Friday, 5pm - 7pm, order in style with $5 beer, $7 wine and $12 specialty cocktails. Tanqueray “10” Gin, Lillet, Ruby Grapefruit and Grapefruit Bitters are the essential ingredients for their Pavlov's Dog handcrafted cocktail.

Expect no less than dishes like Braised Oxtail "Philly" sandwiches or Maine Lobster Rolls ranging from $8 - 12 at this Four Seasons Hotel's Side Bar.

If you've ever taken the PCH to Malibu, then you've probably noticed and/or eaten at the famous Gladstone's. Located on beach front property, Gladstone's is a great seafood haven where you can catch the ocean view, sunset and a delicious margarita all at once. Foil-wrapped leftovers in the shape of swans will always remind me of my first visit to this Malibu landmark, but now I have a even better reason to return: happy hour.

Yes, it's really true. Gladstone's has launched a happy hour. Weekdays on Monday through Friday, 3pm to 6pm, you can indulge in $2 raw oysters on the half shell, $6 Ahi Tuna salad sliders and other ocean derived favorites. And you'll want to come thirsty because $4 Miller Lite & Pacifico, $5 wine by the glass and $7 specialty cocktails are reason alone to order a drink.
